Preserving Oklahoma’s Heritage One Voice at a Time
Building a lasting oral history archive requires a lot more than recording voices.
After retiring from a 40-year career in radio, Oklahoma Broadcasting Hall-of-Famer John Erling dreamed of spending his retirement building an oral history archive of his state’s most compelling personalities. To see his dream become reality, Mr. Erling engaged Müllerhaus Legacy for help establishing “Voices of Oklahoma” as a credible and widely-respected foundation. In addition to branding, identity, print & digital marketing services, and donor outreach materials, we also developed the online platform that is now home to Voices of Oklahoma and provide ongoing editing and digital publishing services for each interview. To mark the foundation’s 10-year anniversary, we produced and published a retail anthology book with excerpts from 50 of the most fascinating interviews.

Branding, Identity & Marketing
Launching a new concept that asks wealthy donors to invest in historical preservation requires an image and voice that portrays trustworthiness and professionalism. The award-winning website, brand design, and communications materials we created portrayed VOK’s credibility to professionals, community leaders, and members of the media.
Asset Management & Digital Content Creation
In addition to project management, the Müllerhaus Legacy team also transcribed audio, sourced historic imagery to illustrate interviews, and designed and posted digital content on an ongoing basis—always with a standard of outstanding service, precision, and consistent care.
Book Development & Publishing
After ten years of trusting the Müllerhaus Legacy team for problem solving, Mr. Erling knew we could provide complete turn-key development services for a VOK book. We commissioned an editorial staff, contributed creative oversight, provided supplemental research, book design, and print production solutions.
The Voices of Oklahoma book was released for retail sale just before Christmas 2018. The effort exceeded expectations, focusing significant media attention on VOK’s mission and value.
